El Flaco Indio reviews
El Flaco ... well, what can you say? It was a party non-stop from the minute he walked onto the stage and started "Alcohol" to the final song of his encore "Start A Band". My only downside is that everyone stood for about 90% of the concert. WHY??? But, I guess the beer intake is easier and swifter if there is a more direct line from mouth to stomach. Oh well. El Flaco's singing was top-notch and his self-deprecating humor (LOVED the review of his high school senior pictures!) were very much inline with what his persona has been in video, print interviews, and award shows.
Miranda Lambert was great. I enjoyed her high energy and enthusiasm. Her set lasted about 50 minutes and really showcased her as a singer and performer.
While I understand the niche he's trying to appeal to, Justin Moore needs to understand that many types of people beyond rednecks attend concerts. Justin Moore was adequate as an opening act, singing only 4 songs... which IMHO were three songs too many.
